“The one that got away”, a good time for good ole’ trip down the memory lane, how things would’ve been? 🦐

Couple years back, I was cooking up some visual with a friend for his @hybsband ’s music video. “Prettiest to Me” was the final track of “Making Steak” album that expanded the new possibilities for indie-pop genre in SEA in years.

Eventually, the coordinated art direction were taken into a different approach and we had to abandoned all of these variations. It’d be a bummer to have these dusted in archive forever too.

Of course, the production involved with a lot of close friends from SCAD at the time where everyone has now ascended to their own different paths in lives. Cheerio, wishing nothing but wellness to everyone!

A collection of unreleased graphic direction and visual development created for Prettiest to Me by HYBS.

The project explored a complete visual identity surrounding the music video, including title sequence explorations, logotype development, typography systems, promotional graphics, merchandise concepts, and supporting visual assets intended to extend the narrative beyond the screen.

While the final production ultimately moved in a different direction, these studies remain a snapshot of the creative process, capturing an alternative interpretation of the song and the world that might have existed around it.
